    Unhappy Tamron 17-50 focusing noise

    I have just got my tamron 17-50mm lens out on my D7000 and upon pressing the shutter half way it makes a strange noise, and after its focused it runs on for a few seconds, does any one know what it is?????

    Is it the VC version if so it could be the VC operating
