Hi,

I am trying to pick a DSLR and two that appeal to me are the Nikon D3100 and the Sony NEX-5N. I'd like to use the camera to take pictures of ballroom dancers, which means fast movement in no the brightest conditions. I have read in reviews that the Sony isn't great at capturing action shots but does this mean it is no good full stop or it's no good compared to a good DSLR?

Would a Sony NEX-5N be able to capture dance motion as well as a Nikon D3100 (with kit lenses)?
