Im about to purchase my first ever camera, I have a budget of roughly £700. It will be used for holidays and for when Im out on the bike... I want to take shot of landscapes, sea and sports arenas etc...

I have contemplated the Samsung NX200 due to its size and weight, but I am unsure whether

1) Is it worth the money?
2) How good is this camera, are their alternatives I should consider prior to purchase?
3) How big is the gap between the NX200 and say the Canon or Nikon DLSR ranges.

Any advice will be much appreciated.
