    Default 500px photo sharing site

Over the past few weeks a new photo sharing website called 500px (http://500px.com/) has been creating quite a buzz online, with many dubbing it 'the new flickr'.

Have any of you guys heard about it or even signed up? If so, how have you found it?

I have a 500px but barely use it, I suppose though if I'd got that at the same time I got my flickr account I'd be more swayed towards 500px, the fact that I barely get any views on 500px as compared to 50000 on flickr, its hard to adapt to it
The one thing thats kept me away from 500px, is the fact that theres no groups to add photos to, so getting views and publicity from the correct audience becomes something of a challenge that is easily dealt with on flickr

Too easy to manipulate Paul and in addition the standard is dropping in my opinion. Initially I liked it as there were some beautiful images to draw inspiration from and my images were getting plenty of views - couple of them were up around or 8 thousand views in a short space of time. However, there seems to be a lot of negative votes cast and these have a higher impact than positive votes. I think the idea is to vote down images that hang about for a while but I've found that I can be hit by a number of negatives in a very short space of time which is obviously an organised thing. I like the portfolio feature and I've taken advantage of that, but I won't be using it much more. Its not as social as Flickr either.

I did notice that some of the better photographers, such as Antony Spencer, seem to have stopped uploading there.
