The Panasonic TZ10 is a very good 'travel' compact camera, offering a 12 optical zoom running from 25-300mm. It's well made and when we tested it back in early 2010, rated it at 89%.

Since then, it's been superseded by the TZ20. With a bigger zoom and improved functionality, its an improvement on the older model, but with stronger competition, again picks up 89%

i've seen the TZ20 too, but with the higher price tag it's out of my price range unfortunately
