Sony CyberShot DSC-WX30 unvelied with 16MP sensor, 3

Sony’s second compact released today is the Sony CyberShot DSC-WX30, which isn’t set to be released in the UK. For the most part the specs are the same as the Sony CyberShot DSC-TX55, including the sensor resolution and HD movie mode.

Elsewhere there’s a 3″ touchscreen, which is a standard LCD rather than an OLED, 5x optical zoom from a 25mm wide angle. Once again the camera accepts micro SD or Sony M2 Memory Sticks rather than a full size memory format, and can take both Sweep Panorama and 3D images.

Unlike the TX55, with Sony Cybershot DSC-WX30 isn’t the world’s slimmest optically stabilized model, but does have a small 92 x 52 x 19mm frame weighing only 117g. Although a UK release hasn’t been offered the camera is currently listed on the Sony Style UK website as being available in September, the same as the TX55.
