A definition of Class

A system used to state the minimum write speeds for SD media formats. The number refers to the minimum guaranteed write speed of a particular card in megabytes per second (MB/sec). A Class 6 card, for example, would have a minimum write speed of 6MB/sec, while a Class 10 card would increase this to 10MB/sec.
