u2018Edition Hermu00e8su2019 M9-P set limited to 300 worldwide

Leica continued a busy day of product launches with the announcement of a limited edition Leica M9-P camera set. The camera ‘set’, which will be limited to just 300 worldwide, is labelled as the ‘Edition Hermès’, and features a price tag of £18,000.

As you would expect for a camera ‘set’ costing the best part of £20k, the ‘Edition Hermès’ features a host of bespoke touches. The M9-P features a Veau Swift calfskin leather finish and shoulder strap, with a special design provided by automotive designer Walter de’Silva.

The ‘standard’ set, which will be available later this month, arrives with a silver-anodised Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH lens.

For the photographer to whom the £18,000 set simply won’t suffice, solace can be found in the Leica M9-P ‘Edition Hermès’ – Série Limitée Jean-Louis Dumas’. This even-more-limited edition set – restricted to a run of just 100 – is a celebration of the friendship between Leica and the former president of Hermès.

The set features three lenses – the Leica Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH, Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH and Leica APO-Summicron-M 90mm f/2 ASPH – all of which feature a silver-anodised finish.

The set is completed with a hand-finished Hermès camera bag, as well as a portfolio of Jean-Louis Dumas’s images. The price? A snip at just £36,000.

Both sets will be available exclusively at the Leica Store in Mayfair, so be sure to get down while stocks last.
