Additional images of the Nikon 1 J2 have been released today and they include shots of the striking orange variation

The day after the official launch of the Nikon 1 J2, additional images have been released of the camera and the new 1 NIKKOR 11-27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.

Now available in orange as well as black, white, silver, red and pink, the vibrant colours are undoubtedly aimed at making the camera stand out from the crowd. The NIKKOR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 lens that’s available with the Nikon 1 J2 as part of a kit has also been made available in the same range of colours.

Yesterday Nikon expanded its range of lenses for the Nikon 1 system by launching the 11-27.5mm f3.5-5.6. Super-slim and lightweight in design, it has a focal length that’s equivalent to 30-74mm in 35mm terms. The retractable lens mechanism keeps the lens as compact and small as possible when it’s not in use and it features a minimum aperture of f/16.

Constructed with 8 elements in 6 groups (including 1 ED lens element, 1 aspherical lens element and 1 protective glass element), it has a minimum focus distance of 30cm and supports the HN-N102 screw-on hood, which can be purchased separately. Available in black and white for individual purchase, colour variations will be made available with specific camera and kit combinations.
