The Mayor’s Thames Festival takes place on the 8th & 9th September 2012 at the South Bank of the River Thames. Join us for FREE Photography Masterclasses in association with Nikon.

2012 promises to be an unforgettable year for London! The Thames Festival will be on over the closing weekend of the London 2012 Games, and the Thames Festival will be the Mayor’s, and the city’s, final celebration of an amazing year for London.

It’s going to be incredible – and unmissable! Enjoy a feast of photographic opportunities as the Thames is brought to life with a plethora of free activities from a Korean wedding to 600 children singing in the Scoop at More London, and a carnival to a spectacular fireworks show.

Don’t forget to take your camera, because there is a superb photography competition open to Festival-goers who take pictures of the event over the 8th & 9th September. These will feature pro photographers Jeremy Walker (Nikon expert – landscapes) and Uzair Kharawala (Nikon expert – weddings and portraiture) as well as Damien Demolder, Editor of Amateur Photographer, and Nigel Atherton, Editor of What Digital Camera.
