Until about 20 years ago I used to a lot of photography as part of my job, including all my own black & white and colour transparency processing. I still have all of my gear: a couple of MX bodies, half dozen lenses, etc. although they haven't been used for a while.
The only digital stuff I've ever done was a few snapshots with various Fuji compacts. However, I'd now like to get back into photography but whereas I knew a good bit about most of the slr's on the market in the 70's and 80's I'm now very much a beginner.
Can someone advise me, are the SMC Pentax lenses off my old MX's compatible with the new cameras such as the K-x
Basically, your old K, M or M* lenses will work as manual or aperture priority with any of the bodies listed below.
If you have any A or A* lenses they will give you most or all functions other than autofocus.
