What compact do I buy? (list of 11)

I'm looking to buy a compact digital camera for under £100 to take pictures of people, landscapes and architecture. I don't generally print big pictures - almost always 6x4.
With all of that in mind, I obviously want it to produce as good quality pictures as possible.

I have been searching, and have now got a list of 11 cameras that seem to fit my criteria. I would be very grateful for any comments on them (positive or negative) that will enable me to narrow my options down further. Or, if there is an obvious one not on the list, please feel free to suggest it.

Thanks, but why do you think that Canon would be better than say, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS11 which has more megapixels and greater zoom??

The Canon usually produces better pics straight out of the camera, whereas the Panasonics need a bit of thought.

If you want that extra bit of zoom, then choose the Panasonic.

We haven't tested many of these but as a general rule you can't go wrong with Canon or Panasonic compacts at this price range.
Its likely that all the Panasonics use the same sensor and processor, as do all the Canons etc (so image quality likely to be similar) and the main differences between the models are subtle changes in spec and features - eg zoom range.
