Not necessarily "Delighting you Always" as Canon says - my brand new ixus 1000 HS camera failed after just 2 weeks. The lens would not retract, the camera would not operate and the message "Lens Error . Restart Camera." kept appearing. Now hoping for positive news from Canon that they will replace it. This should not happen on such a new camera. I am a less than happy customer at the moment, particularly as this happened whilst in South America and I had no option but to take photos with my blackberry, despite specifically investing in new high performance compact especially for the trip .
