Hi,

I'm planning on buying the Canon 24-70mm L f2.8 lens as my everyday lens for my 7D. Need some advice as to whether I should use a UV filter (and if so which one) or not?

I have filters on my other lenses, more to protect the lens, but none of my other lenses are as good quality.

So will the filter reduce the quality of my images? Or is it worth it to protect the element?
