Canon has announced that the EOS 6D will be made available to buy this coming weekend

Canon has announced today that their smallest and lightest DSLR will be made available to buy at a range of retailers across the country this weekend (1st-2nd December 2012).

It may seem like months ago that the EOS 6D was announced at Photokina 2012, but now there’s only a matter of hours before people can finally purchase full-production models for a body only price of £1799.99.

Alternatively, Canon are also selling the EOS 6D as part of a kit. If it’s bought with the EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM lens you can expect to pay £2599.99, or if you choose the the EF 40mm STM pancake lens prices will start from £1959.99.

Canon confirmed to What Digital Camera this morning that it’ll be the major photo specialists selling the EOS 6D, but didn’t disclose any particular retailers. We’re planning to bring you a full review of the camera very soon in What Digital Camera when our review sample arrives.
