bridge camera versus dlsr help

hi i have a nikon d3000 with a 18-105vr lense with these new bridge cameras comeing out
the likes of the panasonic fz45 and the fz100 iv seen
my nikon good but i find it heavey on family days out
and was thinking of one of these new ones as stated

what would be the best camera out of the bridge to the dlsr as i dnt seem to click with the nikkon would the bridge be as fast as the nikon

any hel to compare them with each other thanks,,

Hi my advice would be go to a shop and look and hold them as I dont think there is much of a size saving. What do find wrong with the d3000.
