Manfrotto, has launched SYMPLA, a video rig system for HDSLRs and the latest camcorders, aimed at and developed for the purpose of making photographer’s and videographer’s lives simpler.

The functionality of the SYMPLA range allows for the ability to set-up and adjust any camera on the rig in seconds, being able to react quickly to changing contexts and the possibility of shooting from any angle even under challenging light conditions.

SYMPLA features a range of individual components for building custom rigs and accessories, with three
main ready-to-go KITS – a Flexible Matte Box system, a Long Lens Support system and a Shoulder Support system.

Without extra tools, SYMPLA supports can be assembled, configured and adjusted to a wide range of situations in seconds. Every product in the range is made of steel and aluminum to withstand the rigours of professional use. The number of components in the SYMPLA family provides the user with maximum flexibility and adjustment control with minimum hassle. SYMPLA is compatible with all Manfrotto photo and video support products.

The rigs feature self-supporting clamps that stay in place even before they are locked – straight from the world of heavy-duty stage lighting – flexible, easy-locking ball-joint hand grips inspired by Manfrotto’s photographic ball heads and sliding plates with quick release and secondary safety buttons first featured on Manfrotto’s professional video heads. Together, these advanced components make SYMPLA modular rigs easier, safer and more comfortable for even the smallest video teams to use on location.

The SYMPLA range of products has already been awarded a prestigious accolade at one of the world’s leading design competitions: the 2012 red dot design Awards.
