Buying in the USA
Hi all,
Hope that someone can offer some advice on this - I'm sure the knowledge is in here somewhere!
My wife and I are going to buy a Canon G12, and happen to be heading to the USA next Friday. Having looked online, it seems the camera is priced at around $500 (about £330) in the States, and £500 here!
I am assuming that the only difference in the US model will be the charger being an American plug (which can be dealt with by using a converter), but it'd be good if anyone knew differently and could warn of any possible pitfalls! It's a huge saving to be made, so any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Graeme

Hi it is a wonderful saving and yes you will need to look at the charger it will probably do 110-240 if it doesnt buy a converter there. Other pitfalls is warranty you will find it is a North American warranty not a world wide. I have just got 2 lenses so I know that. Check that the play back can do both PAL and NTSC.
Your Warranty is the big thing. Good Luck
