I had one of these lenses. It is really sharp only 2 cons were slow to auto focus and not great on macro. I sold it and got a sigma 70 300 apo lens. I think it is a better lens although a bit more expensive. If macro is an issue i bought an old film camera lens a micro nikkor 55mm for £20 in my local camera shop. It only work on manual mode though.
