Ricoh Imaging Company name formally adopted from 1st August

Pentax Ricoh Imaging Company has announced details of a company name change to come in to affect from 1st August this year.

From that date, the manufacturer will adopt the company name of the Ricoh Imaging Company.

Although the Pentax moniker has been dropped from the overall company name, it will be retained for branded purposes across a selection of products.

The company’s compact cameras and new technological innovations with carry the Ricoh brand, while all DSLRs, interchangeable lens cameras and binoculars with retain the Pentax brand.

The Pentax Ricoh Imaging Company was formed on 1st October 2011 and has already produced a selection of impressive cameras, including the recently-reviewed Ricoh GR.
