What UV Filter For My D5000?????

Ive recently bought a nikon D5000 and need a filter mostly to protect the lens. Im just not sure which one to get. Cokin or Hoya??
I was looking at a Hoya HD filter for £25 from ebay. There is so many UV ones out there all varied in price though??

Both are highly regarded filter makers but I do associate cokin more with the square grads and Hoya have a good reputatuion for uv filters and circular polarisers.
Hoya sounds good to me.

Definitely the Hoya for superior optical quality.

Just to warn you that E-bay is not the best place to purchase filters or storage cards. Sadly it is full of fake goods, would recommend a good camera shop

I agree you have to be wary of purchases from ebay but as long as you check there feedback and they have a lot you should be ok.
You can get some good deals on ebay as long as you are smart and careful.
