A new type of camera which automatically captures images according to changes in the surrounding environment has been announced.

Dubbed as the ‘world’s first intelligent, wearable camera’, the Autographer incorporates a GPS system and passive infrared sensor (for subject motion detection), in addition to further sensors which detect changes in colour, temperature, acceleration and direction.

With information from these the camera automatically captures up to 2000 images per day, using a 5MP backlit CMOS sensor and a wideangle lens with an angle of view of 136°.

Images are stored on 8GB of internal memory, while Bluetooth connectivity allows for images to be transferred across to other devices.

The Autographer will go on sale in November with a launch price of £399. For further information visit www.autographer.com
