To be awarded a prize in any category at Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) is prestige indeed, and now the Ansel Adams Gallery will make it even more special for one lucky person.

The winner in the ‘Monochromal’ portfolio category for b&w photography will now not only win a tour of Northern California, but also a chance to visit the Ansel Adams Gallery and enjoy a private fine-print viewing of Ansel Adams’ original photographs.

The Ansel Adams Gallery, which is run by the legendary photographer’s grandson Matthew Adams, will also take the winner on an ‘In the Footsteps of Ansel Adams’ photography tour in Yosemite, where they will visit the locations at which Adams composed some of his most famous images.

Travel Photographer of the Year founder, Chris Coe, said, ‘This is an extraordinary opportunity for any lover of the work of this legendary photographer and conservationist, and an opportunity for anyone not so familiar to discover the master under the guidance of his family.’

The Monochromal category is one of three portfolio categories in TPOTY, requiring entrants to submit four related B&W images that relate to a single theme.

Entries to TPOTY close on October 3rd, 2013. For details on how to enter, visit www.tpoty.com
