Free Impossible Project iOS app looks to bridge the gap between the worlds of analogue and digital

Analogue photo company The Impossible Project’s first foray into the digital realm is shaping up nicely, with its iOS app having already been downloaded more than 10,000 times since its release on July 30.

The Impossible Project is dedicated to keeping instant analogue photography alive through the manufacture of Polaroid instant films, based in the original Polaroid production plant in Enschede, the Netherlands.

Free to download from iTunes, the app provides users with the means to scan, upload and share their analogue instant photographs. Users of iPhone 4s and 5 phones can also expose images onto instant film using Impossible’s Instant Lab.
