HTC has acknowledged the existence of a strange flaw in the HTC One Ultrapixel camera and assured users that a fix is on its way

If you’re a user of the HTC One Ultrapixel camera, you may or may not have noticed something odd when shooting in low light.

Users have noticed a strange software bug that causes a film of purple noise to be laid over the image produced by the Ultrapixel camera when shooting under certain low-light conditions.

In a statement to HDBlog, HTC acknowledged to users that, yes, this bug does exist, but assured them that it will only occur under ‘a limited combination of conditions’.

People who experience this bug are advised to contact HTC customer support. The firm says that a software update to fix the problem is on its way.
