Hi all
I am getting the Nikon D40 for my birthday next week and would like to know what hood I would need for the 18-55mm Lens?

I found that a 52mm wide angle rubber hood the most successful, a standard rubber lens hood causes vignetting at the shorter focal lengths. Also don't forget that if you're using the internal flash remove the hood because it can cast a shadow at the bottom of your picture in certain situations. Petal shaped hoods are unsuitable because the front of the lens rotates when focusing.

Anyone tell me the difference between the HB-33, which I have, and the HB-45 as stated in the hand book. Both are listed for the 18/55 lens and both recomended.
