picture sizing

Just installed Photo shop 6 on comp took some pictures edited cropped saved from raw to jpeg tried to print but everything comes off half size to the settings i put in.Ended up putting in new folder then on disc and going to Asda for 4 i needed then. I am an absolute beginner with photo shop please explain where ive gone wrong if possible.All help appreciated and thanks in advance.

How did you crop your pictures? Did you set a resolution value? It's best to leave it blank. Because if you do, it makes your picture smaller rather than just adjusting the ratio. Check out your pixel dimensions.

What you need to do is set the paper size on your printer and then set the printer PRINT TO FIT. You will also be able to choose the paper type, quality, boarderless prints etc.

This will by-pass anything on size or resolution you have done in PhotoShop.
