I am guessing they are doing this so they are ready to supply when the economy turns around. The japanese have always been excellent strategists

No, it's global warming causing high winds which means a great demand for door stops.

Ah, so they're going to use the place to build Nikons under contract, then. Fascinating.

No Nick, that's just the little tale you tell yourself everytime you take your Canon out to make yourself feel better that maybe, just maybe, it might be really be a Nikon instead.

Not at all. You forget, I do have a Nikon. And yes, it is used as a doorstop. It's the one area where Nikons really are better than Canons.

I reckon there's my next FirstView shot sorted, too.

Didn't realize there was that much of a market for £80m DSLRs. Guess the recession isn't that bad after all.

Or is £80m just the RRP? What's the street price going to be - £499?

Oh dear, we all (well those of us who aren't deluded) know that there is only one photographic manufacturer of heavy lumps designed to stop stuff. They even do it so well they're used as bollards ...

Why there's nothing of sense to be said about Canons so why should it be any other way?

Which format is what? The way that the quotes are being re-framed or is it a reference to the camera?
