This week's poll is a bit of a fantasy one. If you had no responsibilities - such as 'er or 'im indoors, and no cat, dog or kids - and you were given the chance, would you jack in the day job to become a wildlife photographer?
Look at this week's feature on Steve Bloom before you answer this question!!
Head to the Home Page to vote.
Thanks

Me as well, and as it's a fantasy question I'd have a load of camera kit as well to go with it and some Leica bins and scope plus a nice big landy to drive around in. Mull would be my first stop..

Yes, definitely, send me now!!...er, well, maybe not after seeing Steve's images. Who'd want my images - as a beginner - after seeing his images?? That reminds me...still need to get to grips with mod 3 FIP course. Well, it is just a fantasy!!

I'd be off like a rocket !! I couldn't handle being a press or magazine 'tog, but wildlife would be another thing entirely.

Hmmm, I haven't read the piece so I haven't voted but I know from the start that I haven't got the patience for wildlife photography.

There is an initial appeal. However to be any good you need to be an excellent photographer, a wild life expert, and the explorer type that relishes the privations of the wild. I am not that much of a dedicated masochist.

I voted "No".
Even though I'm a small part of the big machine that is my company, I'm quite satisfied by the thought that we do a lot of good....and being a small part of that big machine is good enough for me!
Admittedly, some may say that my company is evil (drug development...), but the fact is, we've helped to save millions of lives since we've been in business...
Would I feel the same as a wildlife photographer? I doubt it!

Well, I already jacked in the day job and didn't ....
As a dream, yes, it'd be great. Then I see images like the charging bear and think, well, maybe not

Sory, but no... my fantasy getaway involves a decent yacht and a southerly breeze (though Gary's fast women are welcome to come along )

If I was younger I'd love to have a go! Too old and knackered now. My current 'dream' is to have a b&b in Northumberland for photographers (there always seems to be plenty out there!) with computers & stuff available. Then I'd have all day for taking photos myself. Lisa.
