Canon dedicated variant 740-2 flash and my G7
      #664844 - 09/06/2008 18:44

I have acquired a Regula variant 740-2 flashgun which appears to be Canon dedicated. It seems to be a very sophisticated model, with a turning bounce head and a small fill in flash on the body. Of course there is no manual.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a manual please. I plan to try it anyway with my G7 and an AE1, but I have never tried to use quite so complex a flash unit before and would like to learn how to use it to best advantage.

As it would appear to be a flash gun designed and sold in the 80's it should be ideal for the AE1 however the G7 needs a much later flash gun. You need a setting called E-TTL ii on your flashgun to get full automation with your G7, as found on the EX series of Canon flashguns.
