AF Points Questions
      #659623 - 26/05/2008 19:36

Hi there,

I know you can switch between the different focus points (red dots) to take a photo to create depth - i.e focus on a dog's nose ..etc., but what focus point should I select if say I am taking a picture of a group of people? The center point? Would this make people on either end out of focus?

Thanks

No, not necessarily....the focus point just tells the camera where in the frame to focus...it's the subject's distance from the camera that matters and the depth of field (which is determined by the aperture you are using).

If everyone is the same distance from the camera then they should all be pretty much in focus.
