You've got an extra 'http://' up front of the link in your flickr profile, therefore it doesn't work. The one link will suffice, the other three are, a) unnecessary, and b) don't work either.

I own a Manfrotto 190-series tripod (can't remember which one) and a compact ball head (I know some people don't like these but I get on very well with it).
I have no experience of other brands, but my Manfrotto combo suits me fine.

Or pick up the latest copy of AP and there are lots of adverts for some good retailers
