Last year I posted that I was interested in photographing Ospreys in Scotland. Someone here (sorry can't remember who) suggested the Scottish Wildlife Trust's reserve at Dunkeld. We visited and got some good shots.
When we got home we logged onto their web site to get more info and found they had a web cam which was fascinating viewing. This year the web cam has been upgraded and the live pictures of the pair are outstanding.
Take a look here. Unlikely we can get back there this year before they head back to Africa so keeping a close eye on them on-line.

The link to the live web cam didn't work as expected. Try here! The female has laid her first egg. The first in Scotland this year and her 50th overall.

Plenty of Ospreys at Rutland Water and it's a lot closer.

Thanks Zou. Your recommendation last year was right 'on the money'. The web camera has been re-sponsored this year and significantly improved. There's some shots I got last year at this link.

Some great images there. A 600mm lens seems to be only just long enough.

Yes, they certainly don't want you too close to the birds. Quite rightly.

The Forestry Commission are up to this as well...we should have had a page for Hen Harriers from Arran....but the grass was too late in growing this year etc etc etc... Watch this space next year.
