Next Monday I have a meeting in Hinckley and then perhaps one in the afternoon in Coventry. I'm then in Cheltenham for the races on the Tuesday (I'm hosting a customer so no chance of doing anything there) so I was thinking of getting a hotel room somewhere in between near a decent place for a spot of golden hour photography either on the Monday evening or the Tuesday morning.
Anyone got any recomendations?

These are just general suggestions for areas to look at.
Lots of nice places around Winchcombe just north of Cheltenham in the chalk Downs. Lovely rolling hills etc. Loads of stuff around Broadway in the Cotswolds may be suitable, especially at the top of Broadway Hill. Check out Streetmap etc for more detail.
More specifically - A few miles south of Cheltenham there's a fantastic view from Birdlip Hill looking west over Gloucester. It's one I must get around to doing myself one day.

Thanks David, I've run a search on Birdlip Hill and found this ...

Looks lovely so I'll do some more digging around.

Anywhere in the Gloucester/Cheltenham area is fantastic. Plenty of hill tops to choose from.
I don't know if they have finished all the works around St. Bartholemews at the top of Chosen Hill in Churchdown.
I don't drive so I could never get to the churchyard for sunrise/sunset there, but I have a few ideas of what would make great pictures should the light be right. Maybe one day ...
