Can you identify this lens?
      #578314 - 04/12/2007 17:22

I have had this lens in an oddments box for years. It seems to have a 44mm thread. 52mm FL, f3.5, 72mm filter thread. Excellent quality construction lens with 12 blade iris. Still in original velvet lined leather case. Can anyone identify what camera it is for please?

It's for a Fujita 66 - Soligor 66 - Kalimar Reflex. In that order of incarnation and progression - all 1950's Japanese Hasselbad lookalikes. In it's time, at 52mm, it was the widest lens available for a 2 1/4 square SLR.

Roger,

Thanks for that information as a result of which I have been able to find out about a series of cameras I had never heard of. It seems the lens was also popular with Hassie users as there was no Hassie equivalent.

Mike
