I am posting this because people seem to struggle with the forum search facility which, I must admit, isn't the friendliest in the world. It's far quicker to search by Google - just be sure to include site:amateurphotographer.com as part of your search string.
For example, if I want to quickly see what posts discuss a Ross lens, I'd type in ross lens site:amateurphotographer.com into Google and in an instant you've got results. Note that this result will show all posts that have 'ross' and 'lens' in them, not necessarily 'ross lens'. If you wanted 'Ross lens' then put double quotes around the phrase. Using the same example, it becomes "ross lens" site:amateurphotographer.com . Try it and see.
NB This has now been implemented as a preset Google Search - see here.

Why not make this "sticky"?
Seems good advice - I certainly hadn't expected that Google would drill down into the archives of this board.
