Can't really find much info whether or not AP has an irc server/channel, but have guys ever considered having one up, or have you already had one?

That would be so cool.
I'm on mIRC now, chatting to the random freaks and weirdos in the chat room I frequent...
If you guys all came on, I would get even *less* work done.. woohoo!

Am guessing it's not this kind of IRC being discussed? I really don't like IRC....only need to look at a patch of mud and you're on your arse

Personally I would find the contents of the mIRC link listed, rather tiresome ...

Not quite what I was talking about  Internet Relay Chat for those who aren't familiar with it. Just thought it would be quite cool to chat with some guys/girls on the board, but like most places on irc, people just idle there which sucks :{

As Erm said, we did have a chatroom at one time. It wasn't used.

There is one on the Benchism forum (not IRC), which anyone is welcome to try.

I dunno if that would be the case if the AP people went on it...
I find most people who are idle or don't chat in the main room are the married men wanting 'fun' as their wife has just given birth or they're going through a mid life crisis... or 'cos they're single mothers wanting phone credit and are offering '5 mins of webcam fun for £5...
[/cynical]
Most of the 'normal' people chat quite happily as they're not looking for 'phone fun' or anything like that....

Actually it was Nick, but not enough to justify it remaining, I think the problem was in the early days with fewer members (and not all having home access, some of us originally only had internet access through work) and the organising of chat room meet ups made life slightly difficult. I did have chats to Diane (Col Hogan) and the/a multi persona of Fangs

There was also something called D-chat - a simple, free download, programme that allowed chats. I downloaded it and still have it but never found anyone else using it.
