There must be many experts on lighting here so can anyone explain this light That's assuming it is a light, or some sort of reflection. Any other suggestions on what we're seeing here?

That's my guess. It needn't even be all that big.

Oh come on we've all done that with the Erase Tool at some point - but to save it, now that is dumb!

It is a wormhole into a parallel universe. Simply a perfectly normal gap in the space-time continuum consisting of dozens of dimensions folded in on eachother. Seen one, you've seen them all

82% would say it's the inventor of the 4/3rds system bending over.

Am guessing it's the reflection of the sun off water.
Go round and find out?

One of my favourite Red Dwarf scenes...
The Cat: So, what is it?
Kryten: I've never seen one before - no one has - but I'm guessing it's a white hole.
Rimmer: A *white* hole?
Kryten: Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. A black hole sucks time and matter out of the Universe; a white hole returns it.
Lister: So, that thing's spewing time...
Lister: [donning his fur-lined hat] ... back into the Universe?
Kryten: Precisely. That's why we're experiencing these curious time phenomena on board.

Lister: [minus the hat] So, that thing's spewing time...
Lister: [donning his fur-lined hat, again] ... back into the Universe?
Kryten: Precisely. That's why we're experiencing these curious time phenomena on board.
Lister: What time phenomena?
Kryten: Like just then, when time repeated itself.
The Cat: So, what is it?
[Kryten, Rimmer, and Lister stare at Cat]
The Cat: Only joking.

Nah, I don't have a good enough pair of shades to risk facing anything that bright.
