In June 2008 I attended the RhodesRock08 classic rock tours concert at St Pauls Bay, Lindos on Rhodes.
If you like classical rock - namely Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy and Pink Floyd, you would have loved it. All the bands performing not only played perfectly, but most actually re-enacted the part too. I did not believe anyone could actually sound like Robert Plant, leave alone look like him as well.
Below are a few photos I snapped with my little Fuji F11 of the fabulous Jimi Hendrix tribute band 'Are You Experienced?'. John campbell the lead guitarist actually plays the guitar behind his back (just like Hendrix did) much better than I can play it at all - and I thought I was a reasonable guitar player - I don't now though!
I have just heard from the promoter that they are going to put on another concert next year - RhodesRock09. The venue is stunning, I have been for 3 years now and i just keeps getting better. Anyway I have ranted enough - here are some of the photos...

Nice pics - looked like a good gig. Big Hendrix fan myself (nearly bought leftie strat to turn upside down - even tried playing left handed with little success)

Love number 7....im guessing he doesnt put a tab under his head scarf like jimi used to!

Thats interesting. Why didn't Jimi just swallow it like everyone else did back then ;o)
