Does any one use this? Can any one use it?
I had previously updated version 2 to 3 via a download. This proved to be unusable due to its constant freezing on my desk top.
I also have a copy on disc which I have tried to install on my laptop. It still won't work but constantly freezes. It takes over five minutes to load on image then sits and does nothing.
SO I wiped this off and downloaded the latest version from Pentax. Gues what happened... yep it's totally unusable.
That's two different computers with two different processors and operating systems and the program from two different sources and neither is usable.
How can any company put out such useless software, or am I just being unlucky?

A really dumb question -- but consider who is asking -- have you checked all the "system requirements" to make sure that everything is kosher?
Also, FWIW, I have yet to use any of the software offered by any of my digital camera's (G2, IST*DS and my K200D).
Cheers and apologies for asking the extreme basics.

Possibly unlucky
I've just installed version 3.50 under Windows XP without any problems. It's not the most exciting piece of software I've used though, so I'm not sure you're missing much.

I do actually use the Pentax Photo Browser but have it set to show my current stock of images preapred for ePHOTOzine. The logic behind this is that its quick loading and simple interface make it ideal for a quick check on which image I wish to upload.
I have no issues with the browser - it works just fine.
