All taken at the British Wildlife Centre, Surrey

Shame about the OOF greenery in the 'snarl' pic, but it was an opportunity that just happened.

The sun was on the fox, so that's pretty close to the actual colour. The photo has been through photoshop - the usual sharpening and curves adjustment only.

It's amazing but take a close look and see how many features common to our domestic cats and dogs are there?

Quite a few superficial similarities, but some important differences. Domestic dogs cannot interbreed with foxes, so genetically they're different. Domestic and feral cats are the deathknell of the Scottish Wildcat as they are interbreeding. The cats at the centre where I see them are 100% DNA tested and part of a breeding programme where the kittens are re-introduced to the highlands. Every wildcat has the same markings, and they can never be tamed or domsticated - even the keepers that see and feed these cats every day have to wear gloves and use nets to handle them!.

Una... was the keeper's name Bill? Oh right, that was "Uma". Are you going to post more pics like those? (hopefully yes )
