Giotto tripods
      #669075 - 20/06/2008 11:21

Hello all, I wonder if you can help.
I was standing in a magazine shop recently and came across a revue of tripods in one of the many photomags., and it recommended a Giotto tripod. Stupidly I did not buy the magazine at the time and now it has disappeared off the shelf - and I don't know which magazine it was!! It would have been a May or June issue. I don't suppose any of you enthusiastic folk saw the same article and could tell me the name of the mag? I am using a Nikon d80 with a 18-200vr lens so it is quite heavy (for a lady) to hold.
Thnaks for any help you can give

Check out "Digital Camera" magazine June 2008. Their best buy was the Giottos 9351B with MH7001 ball head at £130.
I've also noticed other favorable reviews in other journals recently whilst browsing in Smiths.
I use a Giottos tripod and head and consider it superb value for money. Check out Aspens of Hereford on the web, they have a large selection of Giottos and very detailed info and photos about them. Brilliant for macro work!

Regards, Andrew

Oh that's fantastic, thank you so much.
Can I get to read the review again if I go on to the website, or will need to buy a back copy?
Thanks again you clever old thing !!!

Dunno, it's a different magazine to AP so you'd have to ask them.

The website is www.digitalcameramagazine.co.uk but I don't know if there are reviews on it. Aspen of Hereford can be found as a shop on EBay, (their own website isn't ready yet)
