LOOKING FOR A NEW CAMERA

I am looking for a new digital camera my mum has a panasonic lumix which seem good but i dont really know anything about cameras.I want one that will do everything for me the one i have now takes an age to reset after taking a picture so i want one that is quickly ready to go again.I heard the cameras with the lithium batteries are best for this.So fire away guys with your suggestions i have around £200 to spend.

I think that you will find that most compacts have this problem but I am willing to be corrected. Try a Nikon D40. Also Canon have just brought out a new entry DSLR but it will be over priced for a few months.
The D40 with a basic lens will cost about £280.
Edited to remove very silly error.
