Darkroom Give-away
      #649455 - 29/04/2008 16:56

I have a complete set of darkroom equipment to dispose of and as it seems such a shame to simply put it in a skip I thought I would offer to forum members.
The larger items include a Durst M707 colour enlarger, Stag BS785 timer, Nova 16x12 4 tank and an EL-Nikkor 50mm f/2.8.
All completely free for someone to collect, the downside is I live about 25 miles north of Carlisle.

Isn't there a School or a Camera Club near you could contact : I would have given anything for such wonderful gear as that years ago when I was on 2/6d a week pocket money and a £9 enlarger seemed unobtainable ! I used to rent the home-made enlarger for 2/6d when I joined the South Essex Camera Club- it was made of wood and an old plate camera with a diffuser plate and a Dallmeyer lens - it cost my whole week's pocket money to rent! Eventually I got a Gnome (made in Wales) Beta II enlarger: no wonderful dishes: had to use some of my Mum's old dishes.

Got COMPUTERISED at last and now Digitised but FILM still RULES!

I did ask at the local library if they knew of a school or society that could use my surplus equipment but I'm afraid there was no interest.
The good news is that an enthusiast from Lancashire collected everything yesterday so at least someone will benefit from the disposal.
