A100 Flash Exposure
      #648692 - 28/04/2008 13:38

Hi

This may seem stupid but I've recently realised I probably have a problem with my A100 exposures. Originally, I put it down to differences in systems (I used to have a Dynax 7 – film camera) but, over the weekend, I got to thinking about it as the flash is causing me some problems also.

Since I've had the camera, exposures have generally been 1 stop too dark and so I compensate with a plus 1stop standard setting. Flash pictures have also been very dark and I need a plus 2 stop (ie the max) adjustment which is not always enough. This applies to both the onboard flash and my Minolta HS 5600.

Before I send it back to Sony, has anyone else experienced similar problems?

I think that this is a common problem with the A100, is it not possible to `dial in` via the menus on the back some compensation so it will be correct every time?

This can be done on the A700,(not that I have found the need to) so it may be possible on the A100

Sorry for long gap - yes it is possible to dial in a standard adjustment but feel it should not be needed.

Warranty is due to expire in a few weeks so thinking perhaps it should be sorted.
