this image when printed

comes out with washed out green

a quick snap to show. The other colours come out ok. I'm using a new Canon 4500 with Canon ink. Is there anything I can do to remedy this?.

Buy an Epson!
Joking apart, have you run the nozzle check routine to make sure that whatever makes green is printing properly?
if you have blocked colour you may get this effect, it all looks a bit yellow.

I've been through all maintainance but what I have found out is that the image seems to print fine on Canon matt but not on Inkrite Pro glossy. Didn't realise the paper would affect the colour but it seems to. I'll get some Canon glossy and try that. If that doesn't work, then I'll buy an Epson
Thanks

Check with the paper manufacturer that the paper will work with your printer if it's not the same make as the printer/ink

You fooled us, didn't mention the paper, which does have a big influence. I once tried Kodak glossy in my Epson R2400 and it was a disaster.
I now use only Epson paper and ink in the 3800!

Kodak paper doesn't tend to work too well with Canons, either - although it's not as bad as Epson paper in a Canon. Canon, Ilford and Harman papers work really well, though.

In my Canon ip8500, I have only used genuine ink and paper.
In the 8 year old Epson Stylus Colour 880, we use cheap compatible inks, as it only used for things like letters etc.
