Malta, The Med, Autumn Sun etc

Thinking a long way ahead, but which places are top in the med? I've been to Malta a few times, and that's great for pictures, but what about some of the other islands/countries? I'm thinking October/November time probably.

I'm looking for sunshine to be virtually guaranteed, plus a range of things to see and do without the need of a hire car. A bit like Malta really.

How about Cyprus? At that time of the year you would be looking at the mid 20`s temperature wise

Having spent 7 years of my life there, I can really reccomend it.

Sunshine all year round, one of the only places you can go the beach in the morning and then ski in the moutains in the afternoon.

Mallorca is really picturesque provided you go to the North coast (around Puerto Pollensa) rather than the awful tourist traps round Palma bay.

Personally I think Oct/Nov is still too hot, better Jan/Feb.

I agree, Mallorca, and the Puerto Pollensa and Pollensa village area, is wonderful at any time of year. Towards C'an Picafort, past Alcudia, there is a fantastic nature reserve of S'albufera.

In the same vein, don't discount the island of Ibiza Despite it's bad reputation, there are some wonderful places to visit, even San Antonio has some great photo-ops.

What, you mean the condoms lining the gutter ... or even the pavement if you're unlucky!?

?? Surely not Venezia, land of foggy mist? Out of season I don't think northern Italy can offer the guaranteed sun...

South coast of Croatia (and some of the islands there) are supposed
to be fantastic ... just don't go in the summer time ...it's way too
hot I received that information from a customer who got married there last summer

Cheers,

Jack

Last time I was in Italy it was late October in Umbria a couple of years ago. It was scorching. I don't disagree with you, though - it's a bit hit and miss.

Crete, I would say.
