How will Tmax in D76 differ from Tmax in Tmax developer?

Nothing that you will easily see. Perhaps a little more contrast but thats about it. I can't say for really big enlargements, say 12x16 or over but less than that it will be the same in all but a name.

I'd have thought the TMax dev would have been formulated to exploit the characteristics of this type of film, i.e fine grain etc. I'm sure D76 won't give you finer grained negs. Then again, not having used this particular combo, I might be talking out of my bum.

I've never found that it made much difference. The film does seem to benefit from an extension to the fixing time, though.
