I'm considering a few weeks touring & hiking in northern Slovenia (Julijske & Kawiniski Savinjske Alpe). The theme of the expedition is the the Karst (limestone) scenery, plus local folklore/customs.
Does anyone have specific knowledge of this area please?

The valleys up into the Julian Alps west of Kranjska Gora are particularly photogenic - try looking at this, and search for other I have posted - I think I geo-tagged them: http://www.flickr.com/photos/keithpatterson/251795357/
