That OTHER Tetenal kit....
      #587481 - 26/12/2007 17:46

I had a go at the Tetenal C41, put a roll of Fujifilm Pro 160s through it and once more, I was very impressed, I can safely say now that I can give the finger at some labs (got fed up of getting scratched negs all across the middle of the photos and ever expanding developing prices). The only thing I may have improved in developing my film was that I extended it by nearly a minute as the temperature was slightly 1.5 degrees over, so the film came out grainier than what I wanted, but not that bad. Here's one (I hope the size is right for the forum, I sometimes get the size just a little over):

I have an A3 resized version that holds up pretty well. So yeah, I'm pretty happy with both the E6 and C41 Tetenal kits.

I love the bright bold colours.

Looks like the labs will be losing out on your custom then......

I just developed a Medium Format Pro 160S which I shot with an old Franka Solida II and boy that lens is sharp! I am also extremely happy with the outcome. I was curious to see how would a 60?? odd year old camera would perform. I used a Kalimar light meter and ran a roll of 160S in the summer. They still need some cleaning (scratches) but here's one:

Again, I kinda extended the processing time as the concentration of developer was slightly less (yes, I still haven't got those storage bottles so I get rid of the chemistry in the end ) but the grain is very very fine and the colours are amazing. I am happier with these than with the ones from the 35mm even though I only got about 3 good ones, as the Franka has no frame stop, so I ended up overlapping a few.

They're great! Nice to see something from the Franka, I've got one on the shelf - but never tried it out - I will now

I found flickr unreliable at file sizes - photo-bucket is much better.

I fell in love with that camera now. Leaf shutter lens, no vibrations at all, no slap, barely audible shutter movement. Funny enough I can't see any light seels on the door either even though it is a bit loose, it doesn't seem to have any light leaks.

Funnier still, were the looks people were giving the camera
